A new service from Patrick Gavin has been launched calling itself ShoppingAds. Initially I was quite excited, then less so when I found out it was using the very same system as AuctionAds. I finally settled with quite pleased as ShoppingAds uses CPC like Adsense ads rather than per sale as AuctionAds.
It looks like Auction ads are finally getting there act together after the recent problems they have been having. The previous reporting problems seem to have been fixed.
With all the publicity around Google’s dislike of paid links used to boosts search engine rankings you would have thought and new players into the market would be a bit more tactful.
It seems all is not well at Auction Ads. Having recently been acquired by Media Whiz the Auction Ads service seems to have been experiencing some problems. Users of the service have been reporting loss of earnings possibly due to tracking problems.
After much ado I have finally started the big text ad list of which lists all of the text advertising methods known to webmaster. It’s a list of different ways to promote and monetize your site.
